Students Club

Music, dance, guitars, mountains, nature, football, theatre, camera : all disjointed words. But they are magical! A reason to enjoy life, a passion to follow. Why should passions be pursued hesitantly when they add a third dimension to you, no matter whatever your vocation?

Quantum University believes that passion and profession are the two faces of the single coin. One nourishes the body, the other feeds the soul. At Quantum, students are asked to take up Passion Programs as per their choice. Quantum, encourages the students to pursue their passion while studying at Quantum and excel in the field. Students no longer have to give up on their passion to pursue their careers. Through this the students have the chance to grow under a guided and structured format and achieve excellence in the chosen passion program. At the end of the program students would be expected to showcase their work in front of a live audience.

Pahal - The Social Club

A social initiative by Q-mates under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) that is doing commendable work in the nearby villages by way of creating awareness on issues related to health, sanitation, education, etc. It sensitizes the students towards social responsibilities. The enthusiasm of the students for this weekend activity is boundless and adds a third dimension to their learning.

This club acts as a mutually supportive community for students who are interested in social services. It enhances the visibility and appreciation of social services among the student body. It facilitates interaction among students and faculty members in the professional community of the field of social services and introduces knowledge, values, skills used in social services.

Students are motivated to bring out meaningful changes in society through interaction at the grassroots level with regards to different sectors, including education, health, environment, women, etc. This provides a great way for students to take a break from their studies and participate in social events.

Spartans: The Sports Club

Quantum University provides a vibrant sports environment. The university has a very functional sports club at Quantum, assisted by a Sports Officer. The Sports club is committed to providing a healthy sporting habits among the students. It helps to learn teamwork at work, coordination among diverse cultural & ethnic groups and mainly infuses discipline & instils the value system in one individual. Value of time, precision & competitiveness is the major learning points apart from communication, coordination & teamwork.

It offers a well-developed sporting infrastructure to its students. The Sports Club is responsible for organizing various tournaments as well as monitoring regular sporting activity. It also ensures the regular participation of Q-mates Inter-Collegiate and Inter-state sports meets. Huge playgrounds offer the perfect setting for outdoor games like lawn tennis, badminton, basketball, cricket, and football, whilst the recreation centre offers indoor games like table tennis, billiards, etc.

Quantum Cultural Club

A cultural club is a student body under the guidance of faculty members which encourages student's interest and participation in various cultural events. Besides, it is responsible for conducting the Inter-college and Intra-college cultural events around the year.

The club fosters the artistic environment in our college and develops an appreciation of art and aesthetics in the student community. The inventiveness is to provide social, cultural and recreational activities for the college community. The Club meets weekly and provides inspiration and opportunities to students to work on individual and group activities. The students participate in various activites and demonstrate and develop their leadership and decision making skills. The clubs provide a learning experience for the members as students are responsible for the organizing, funding, public relations, regulating, and scheduling activities for these clubs under the direction of the faculty. The main objective of the cultural club is to develop the overall personality of students. The activities of the cultural club built confidence in students, removes the stage fear, and enhance soft skills in them.

Q-Encore - The Music Club

Q-Encore is one of the most popular groups on the campus that shapes and nourishes the talent of the students in the domain of music. University has its own soundproof and well-furnished music room with various instruments, including guitar, drums, tabla, harmonium, and a synthesizer. The club has groomed students so well that many of them have managed to win several awards and accolades in inter-college and intra-college contests.

Quantum Dance Club

Student-driven dance club nurtures the artistic talent of students in a highly supportive environment. The dancing skill of the students is enhanced through contest engagement and also through workshops conducted by students. The club boasts a variety of choreographic styles. Plenty of opportunities are offered to students for countless ways of growth. Students are motivated to participate and perform on various occasions within the college and in various inter-collegiate fests.

Quantum Creative Arts Club

The creative arts club fosters an artistic environment in the college and develops an appreciation of art and aesthetics in the student community. It brings out the artistic, expressive and creative potential of each and every student. The club regularly brings together students and organises contests like poster making, painting, wall painting that lets students showcase their creativity and develop mastery of certain skills. It is not just a club consisting of the most creative people in the institute, it is a family where students learn, teach and enjoy the art of making life colourful.

SPARK - The Electronics Club

Sparks Club is one of the most popular and liked clubs at Quantum University, Roorkee. It is a community of electronics and electrical hobbyists that nurtures and brings out the technical excellence of the students. The club organises several events all around the years and stimulates creativity and innovation among the students.

The mission of the club is to inspire the hidden innovator within everyone and provide students with a platform for transforming their dreams and ideas into reality. It achieves this by conducting various interactive workshops and by hands-on fun teaching sessions.

Impulse - The Mechanical Club

Impulse, the club of mechanical engineering, aims to promote creativity and to increase the technical know-how and productivity of all the students. The club is responsible for conducting various technical and non-technical events and inspires the innovator within students. Today, the club is having around two hundred members.

The Club has successfully conducted a range of events in the past, including, RC Aircraft (Design and fabrication of Remote-controlled aircraft), Water Rocket (to make a rocket launcher using water), Manufacturer of the year (to manufacture a given drawing), Cross Bow (Design and fabrication of mechanical archery ) and many more. A few of the Non-technical events organized by the club in the past are Sudoku, Mad Add, Mini Militia, GK Quiz etc.

Codex Club

CODE EXEPRIENCE (CODEX), is a CSE Deptt technical club under passion program. CODEX is a complete package to explore your ideas and creativity. It provides the opportunities to work on live projects with various latest technologies/ software under guidance of CODEX team members. This club is more focused on providing a wide vision to technical ideas from coding to designing. This club also extended with Placement Oriented Training Program(POTP). CODEX take students Coding(C) to Experience(X) as well as the designing.

The App Club

The App Club is a student-driven club, made by the students, for the students. This club is a bit different from other student clubs on the campus. In this club, there is no teacher and no student but everyone in this club is a learner.

The App Club is operated under the supervision of the Computer Science Engineering Department. The club provides students with a platform to bring out their creativity and hidden innovation in them. All the resources are made available to students for free. In a very short duration, the club has managed to achieve a lot. One of the major achievements of the club is developing an app for Indian farmers to help them in solving their problems related to crops.

Agriculture and Natural Science Club

ANSC aims to work for social, scientific, educational and cultural development and to encourage, extend and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the Agriculture and Natural Sciences in all possible ways.

ANSC conducts various research activities. It guides students and teachers to print and publish books, bulletins and magazines and other study material especially in the field of agriculture and naturals sciences. Besides, it has established a centre for agricultural development, conservation and production of traditional seeds and technologies. In addition to this, the club is also responsible for organizing conferences, lectures, meetings, seminars, symposiums and exhibitions.

Start-up Club

The objective of the club is to create a platform for self-employment and promote innovation incubation and entrepreneurial skills through a variety of programs.

The club identifies the new ideas of the students and promotes start-up initiatives of the students. The clubs offer many special events and also provide leadership opportunities for students.

Civilinks - The Club

The main focus of the club is to improve the skills of the students by organising various events. Any student can be a member of CIVILINKS. For membership, one has to collect form from the mentor or co-mentor of the club. Membership fee is Rs.50/student. Each member is given a certificate of membership. Active participation of the members of CIVILINKS is required for organizing events.

Black Gold

Sucker rod pump is the symbolic representation of an oil well. It is an artificial lift method employed to force the oil out of the well when the reservoir pressure is low & the oil cannot come out itself. Just like a sucker rod pump, at, Black Gold Club, we energize the ability & talent of our club members to come out in front of the world. The club helps students explore their hidden talent in areas and inculcate in the students the spirit of organisation by providing them with a platform for hosting their talent.

QUILLS - The Literary Society

The “QUILLS” Literary Society of is a central club which is open to students of all branches and all years. The Objectives of the Club and to develop literary creativity amongst the students, to empower the students to use language as a tool for communication and expression in poetry, prose, dramatics and other writing skills, to develop confidence levels for public speaking and to prepare learners for communicative challenges in real life. The Club organises various activities throughout the year to achieve the objectives of the club.

Quantum Theatre Club

The theatre club brings students together for showcasing their creativity through dramatics and theatre. It is a family where you learn, teach and enjoy the art of performing. Theatre teaches us about ourselves. Doing the theatre and watching the theatre teaches us about people, places, and ideas to which we would not otherwise be exposed. Learning in a theatrical setting makes learning fun. Drama combines the literary arts of storytelling and poetry with the world of live performance. It comes as a source of stress buster, leisure activity for both the performers as well as the audiences.
