An Unforgettable Journey of Innovation, Creativity, and Engineering Excellence
When creativity meets competition and passion meets precision, milestones are made—and that’s exactly what happened at India Design Week 2025, a one-of-a-kind 24-hour design challenge that tested the limits of student innovation. Held on 29th and 30th April 2025 at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar, the event was jointly organized by Autodesk and ICT Academy, bringing together over 100 engineering and design teams from across North India.
This high-octane event was not just a challenge—it was a celebration of design thinking, smart engineering, and the endless potential of young minds.

A Challenge That Defined the Future
India Design Week 2025 unfolded in two thrilling rounds designed to push students out of their comfort zones and into the world of real-world problem-solving.
In Round 1, participants were handed a futuristic task: to conceptualize and model a Smart Glass Cleaning Robot. Using Autodesk Fusion 360, teams worked around the clock to design, simulate, and present their vision, supported by a detailed PowerPoint presentation that covered specifications, functionality, and the overall design strategy.
The top 10 teams from this round were then invited to Round 2, where they presented their solutions before a distinguished jury panel comprising industry experts and academic leaders. Teams were evaluated on the basis of design innovation, practicality, clarity of thought, and quality of presentation.
Quantum University’s Moment of Glory
Among the fierce competition, Quantum University’s team stood tall, making it to the Top 10 in the first round, and ultimately securing 6th position in the final round. This stellar achievement was not just a mark of technical skill—it was a testament to the creativity, perseverance, and collaborative spirit of the students.
The team consisted of:
- Mr. Shashwat Pandey, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, 3rd Year
- Mr. Lucky Bhardwaj, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, 1st Year
Under the guidance of their mentor, Er. Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the students were well-prepared, focused, and driven to deliver excellence.
“We poured our hearts into every detail—from the initial sketch to the final presentation. It was a race against time, but every second was worth it,” shared Shashwat and Lucky.
A Reflection of Quantum’s Vision
This accomplishment spoke volumes about Quantum University’s focus on experiential learning and practical exposure. The platform allowed students to apply classroom concepts to real-world problems, preparing them not just for competitions—but for life beyond academia.
“Watching our students present their ideas so confidently on such a big stage was incredibly rewarding. It reaffirms our mission to empower students through hands-on learning and innovation,” said Er. Mukesh Kumar.
The competition gave students an invaluable opportunity to think critically, work collaboratively, and innovate under pressure—skills that will shape their careers and identities as future engineers.
A Celebration of Talent and Teamwork
As the event concluded with cheers, awards, and applause, Quantum University carried back more than just a trophy—they brought back memories, experiences, and inspiration to do even more.
Their success stood as a proud moment for the entire Quantum family, and a powerful reminder that with the right mentorship and mindset, young engineers can go on to build the future.
