Quantum university in association with International Maritime Business Academy (IMBA) was established with the vision of imparting world-class education focussing on Maritime & Commercial Shipping Industry in the Indian subcontinent. In line with this objective, we offer 1-year Post Graduate Diploma programme in International Maritime Law, in partnership with International Maritime Business Academy (IMBA).

Post Graduate Diploma courses offered by Quantum University is in partnership with International Maritime Business Academy (IMBA) – on the basis of stringent and continuous quality assessment (by Quantum University) of the programmes taught by IMBA. This essentially means that the academic standards, faculty and facilities at IMBA have been deemed, by Quantum University, to be equivalent to those provided by Quantum itself. Students of Quantum University, have the opportunity to obtain a world class education right here in India. All IMBA students enrol as full-fledged students of Quantum University; not only do they become part of a 3000-strong student community, but they also receive the Advance Post Graduate Diploma directly from the Quantum University upon successfully completing the programme.

About the Course

The sea is vital to human existence – for commerce, navigation routes, and as a major source of natural resources. Legal expertise in the issues surrounding the law in these areas is always in demand.

Our Advance PGDM International Maritime Law will give you an in-depth understanding of the law concerning contracts for the carriage of goods, marine insurance, international trade and law of the sea.

Admission Process

For the 2020 Graduate Diploma programme intake, there are 30 seats in total. Quantum follows a rounds-based rolling admissions policy. This means that the applicants who apply in an earlier round have a higher likelihood of being accepted into the programme of their choice. It also means that the applications will be closed as soon as all seats are filled. The admission process comprises of two steps:

STEP 1 : Filling the Application Form

To apply online, visit the portal http://quantumuniversity.edu.in/ or www.imbaeducation.com

To apply offline, you may download the Application Form from the IMBA website or Quantum University website or collect it from any of the IMBA admissions offices or Quantum University offices. The form must be completed and submitted at the IMBA or Quantum University admission offices, via courier or in-person.

All necessary documents as listed on the application form, must be submitted at the time of applying, whether online or offline. Candidates who have successfully completed or are in the final semester of full time undergraduate degree programme, are eligible to apply for the Graduate Diploma programmes at IMBA and Quantum University.

STEP 2 : Personal Interview (PI).

There is no exemption from the PI on any grounds. The PI is intended to assess applicants motivation to pursue further studies at IMBA, their ability to do so successfully, and their overall fit into the Quantum & IMBA student body.

Outstation students may appear for PI through online mode via Skype, or through the offline mode at the IMBA academy in Dehradun.

Once all two steps are completed, a candidate's application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee in full. The final admission decision will take into consideration.

Performance in the PI (60% weight)

Graduation Scores & Class XII Scores (40% weight)

If you are made an offer of admission but do not have your graduation scores by then, you may confirm your place, but this will stand void if the graduation scores are not submitted before the commencement of the programme.
