Diploma Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering diploma course at Quantum University has been designed to provide a firm foundation in the fundamentals of civil engineering. This diploma course gives the students a firm grounding in essential subjects which includes drafting, planning, surveying, costing, estimation construction, project management, safety management and environmental affairs.

The students will assimilate and synthesize technical concepts to develop active application in a problem solving strategy. The course prepares students for team work. A diploma graduate can gain a number of certifications and training in specializations which include Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering and Planning Engineering.

The diploma is aptly supported by intensive lab work, workshop, industrial exposure and internship program. The diploma gives extensive hands on work experience so that the learner can directly take work challenges in industry. The students are exposed to projects that develop ability for team work and in large groups.

After the successful completion of the diploma the graduate will be able to execute a number of tasks expertly. These include drawing, sketching and planning, reading plans, surveying, cost estimation, finance management, legal work and time management.

The world is brimming with job opportunities for diploma graduates in civil engineering. The prime sector which employs diploma graduate is the construction business. Most of the jobs in the private sector involve such jobs. In the public sector jobs can be found in Mega Construction Projects run by Government which include Roads, Bridges, Highways, Ports and Dams.

A number of government job exist in Municipal Corporations (Town/Rural Planning and Development), Water Boards, Electricity Boards, Indian Armed Forces, Indian Railways PWD, ONGC, NHAI and DRDO.

A Civil Engineering Diploma entitles membership in the AMIE (Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers. Moreover with sufficient work experience a license can be gained to start independent work as a contractor.

A number of job profiles are accessible to Diploma graduate. These include Site Engineer, AutoCAD Draughtsman, Planning Assitant and QS- Assistant.
